Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has said that cross-border terrorism will be crushed with the full force of the state and that all attempts by proxy groups backed by hostile intelligence agencies will be defeated. He made these remarks while addressing graduating officers of the National Security and War Course at the National Defence University in Islamabad.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), officers from all three branches of Pakistan’s armed forces attended the course. During his address, the Field Marshal highlighted the changing nature of modern warfare and expressed confidence in the armed forces’ operational readiness, professional capabilities, and high morale.
He stated that institutions like the National Defence University are preparing future military and civilian leaders to deal with hybrid threats and evolving security challenges. He emphasized that Pakistan’s armed forces remain fully aware of the activities of hostile intelligence agencies and their proxy networks.
Field Marshal Asim Munir said that terrorist groups and their facilitators would not be allowed to undermine Pakistan’s peace and prosperity. He added that, with the support of the nation, the armed forces would continue operations to eliminate terrorist hideouts and dismantle the networks that support them.

According to the Field Marshal, cross-border terrorism cannot succeed against a nation that remains united, disciplined, and committed to defending its sovereignty.
