Published on: June 20, 2026 2:15 PM

The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) have released the schedule for MDCAT 2026, setting the entry test for admissions to MBBS and BDS programmes across Pakistan.

According to PMDC, the Medical and Dental College Admission Test will be conducted simultaneously nationwide on August 16, 2026, at 10:00 am.

Provincial universities have been assigned responsibility for conducting the examination. In Punjab, the test will be administered by University of Health Sciences, while Sukkur IBA University will oversee arrangements in Sindh. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the responsibility has been entrusted to Khyber Medical University.

For Balochistan, Bolan University of Medical and Health Sciences will manage the test. Meanwhile, candidates from Islamabad, Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan will appear under arrangements made by Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University.

PMDC also assigned the same university to facilitate candidates appearing from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Online registration for MDCAT 2026 will begin on June 22. Candidates can apply with the standard fee until July 8, while late registration will remain open until July 13.

Registration fees for test centres in Pakistan have been set at Rs9,000, while late registration will cost Rs13,000. For international test centres, the registration fee has been fixed at Rs45,000, rising to Rs55,000 for late applicants.

PMDC clarified that all fees will be non-refundable and non-transferable, advising candidates to complete registration within the specified deadlines and regularly check relevant university websites for updates.
