Pakistan is set to host its first Pak-China Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Investment Conference from July 16 to 19 in Karachi, as efforts intensify to attract Chinese investment into the country’s pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors. About the event, Jamil Qureshi, Federal Secretary of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), said more than 50 companies have registered through the official conference portal, while several large-scale bankable investment projects have been prepared for presentation to potential investors. Leading Chinese pharmaceutical companies, medical instrument manufacturers, and healthcare firms are expected to participate in the event, according to a Gwadar Pro’s report. The conference will focus on key subsectors including active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), vaccines, biologics, medical devices, clinical research, and allied pharmaceutical manufacturing industries. Qureshi said the initiative reflects a broader effort to transform Pakistan’s pharmaceutical and healthcare landscape through international investment and industrial collaboration.
