Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has expressed optimism that positive developments regarding an Iran-US agreement may emerge within the next two days. He said the situation between the two countries is moving toward resolution and indicated that high-level representation from Pakistan will play a role. The statement signals cautious optimism in Islamabad over ongoing diplomatic efforts.
Speaking informally in Lahore, Naqvi said good news regarding the Iran-US deal could arrive soon. He added that tensions between the United States and Iran are expected to ease in the near future. He stressed that Pakistan’s prime minister and field marshal will represent the country in related diplomatic engagements.
Naqvi also said that oil prices have been stabilized through careful planning and policy management. He warned that without such measures, petroleum prices could have risen sharply. His remarks linked economic stability with broader regional developments and energy market pressures.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif recently stated that Iran and the United States are close to finalizing a peace agreement. He said Pakistan is preparing for electronic signing of the accord. He also noted that technical-level talks are expected next week and thanked both sides for constructive engagement.
The prime minister further said that sustained diplomatic efforts could lay the foundation for long-term regional stability. He expressed hope that the expected agreement would strengthen peace, cooperation, and economic stability across the Middle East. Officials in Pakistan continue to monitor developments closely as diplomatic momentum builds.
