President Zardari, PM Shehbaz hail operation against militants in Balochistan

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have praised Pakistan’s security forces for carrying out a successful intelligence-based operation in Balochistan that resulted in the killing of 14 militants.

According to official statements, the operation was conducted in the Naal area of Khuzdar district after security agencies received intelligence regarding the presence of armed militants. Authorities said the action was part of ongoing efforts to eliminate terrorist networks and maintain peace in the region.

President Zardari commended the security forces for their professionalism and timely response, stating that the successful operation reflected the country’s firm resolve against terrorism. He said continued action against anti-state elements was essential for protecting national security and ensuring long-term stability.

The president also paid tribute to Lance Havildar Muhammad Abbass, who was martyred during the operation while confronting the militants. He expressed deep sorrow over the loss and said the sacrifices of security personnel would always be remembered by the nation.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also lauded the security forces for eliminating the militants and acknowledged the bravery shown by Lance Havildar Abbass. He offered prayers for the fallen soldier and extended condolences to his family.

The prime minister said Pakistan’s security forces were achieving significant successes against militant groups through ongoing counterterrorism operations. He added that efforts under the national security framework aimed at combating terrorism would continue with full determination.

Officials described the operation as another step in the broader campaign to dismantle militant networks operating in different parts of the country. Security forces remain engaged in intelligence-led actions to prevent attacks and strengthen public safety.

The government reiterated its commitment to eliminating terrorism in all its forms and ensuring peace, stability and development across Pakistan, particularly in areas affected by security challenges.
