Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said Pakistan maintains strong diplomatic relations with both the United States and China. He stated that effective diplomacy means sustaining balanced ties with major global powers. His remarks came during interactions with journalists and diplomatic engagements in New York.
Dar said Pakistan and China share a long-standing friendship that will remain strong in the future. He emphasized that Pakistan should continue maintaining positive relations with all major countries. According to him, this approach supports regional peace and economic stability.

During a question session with a Geo News correspondent, Dar said Pakistan and regional stakeholders had agreed on a five-point agenda for peace. He added that China had publicly endorsed Pakistan’s policy stance on several issues. His comments highlighted Pakistan’s effort to strengthen its global diplomatic positioning.
The foreign minister is scheduled to meet US Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Washington. The meeting is expected to focus on bilateral relations and regional developments. Officials say the talks will also cover economic cooperation and security-related concerns.

Separately, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Ambassador Asim Iftikhar hosted a dinner for Arab, Islamic, and European envoys in New York. Dar attended the event as chief guest and discussed Middle East stability, especially the situation in Palestine. He also met UN Secretary-General António Guterres and discussed UN reforms, Kashmir, Afghanistan, and Palestine, while Guterres praised Pakistan’s role in global peace efforts.
