US President Donald Trump will undergo his annual physical examination on Tuesday at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. The medical checkup comes amid growing public attention surrounding several recent health-related incidents and visible ailments. Trump, who turns 80 next month, remains under close scrutiny as the oldest person elected to a second US presidential term.
Recent photographs showing a rash on Trump’s neck and swelling around his ankles sparked fresh debate about his health. Earlier images also showed bruising on one of his hands, reportedly concealed with makeup during public appearances. However, White House physician Sean Barbabella described the conditions as minor and said there was no evidence of serious vascular disease.

Trump has repeatedly portrayed himself as healthier and more energetic than former president Joe Biden, who left office last year at age 82. The president continues maintaining an active golfing schedule and recently joked about exercise during an Oval Office event. Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. claimed Trump walks long distances while golfing, although Trump humorously noted he often uses a cart.
The White House previously confirmed Trump underwent a magnetic resonance imaging scan in October last year. Officials said the MRI results reflected “exceptional physical health,” although medical experts noted such scans are uncommon during routine physical exams. Barbabella later stated Trump’s cardiac age measured approximately 14 years younger than his actual age.

Questions about Trump’s health have also emerged after he appeared to briefly close his eyes during several meetings. Trump dismissed the speculation, saying the meetings were simply boring rather than exhausting. Meanwhile, Biden revealed last year that he had undergone treatment for an aggressive form of prostate cancer that spread to his bones.
