Gold prices decline by Rs 5,500 per tola

The prices of gold decreased in the local market on Wednesday, with 24 karat gold per tola falling by Rs 5,500 to settle at Rs 479,562 compared to Rs 485,062 on the previous trading day, according to rates issued by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold declined by Rs 4,715 to Rs 411,147 from Rs 415,862, whereas 10 grams of 22 karat gold went down by Rs 4,322 to Rs 376,898 against Rs 381,220. In the international market, the price of gold decreased by $55 to $4,572 per ounce from $4,627. Meanwhile, the price of silver per tola decreased by Rs 45 to Rs 7,766 from Rs 7,811, while the price of 10 grams of silver also fell by Rs 38 to Rs 6,658 from Rs 6,696. The price of silver in the international market decreased by $0.45 to $72.82 per ounce from $73.27.
