Trump Pauses Iran Strikes Following Pakistan Leadership Intervention

Donald Trump halted Iran strikes after Pakistan leaders’ appeal, marking a sudden shift in U.S. military posture. He announced the pause in operations through his social media platform. The decision signals a temporary move toward diplomacy over escalation.

Moreover, Trump said the decision followed appeals from Shehbaz Sharif and military leadership including Asim Munir. He stated that both leaders urged restraint and supported diplomatic engagement. According to him, their request influenced the pause in strikes against Iran.

In addition, Trump announced that the ceasefire period would be extended. He said this extension would allow negotiations to continue without disruption. However, he also made clear that U.S. forces remain fully prepared for any situation.

Furthermore, the U.S. president instructed military forces to stay on high alert. He confirmed that defensive measures and blockade operations will continue. Officials, however, did not release further operational details about ongoing readiness.
