
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has said that China’s rapid development stands as a global model of progress. She made the remarks in a message marking Chinese Language Day. She said China’s growth reflects success in economic, political, and social development.
She noted that nearly 1.25 billion people worldwide speak Chinese. She also said the language has gained strong international importance. According to her, it is one of the six official languages of the United Nations.

Maryam Nawaz praised China’s role in promoting global peace, stability, and development. She said its experience offers valuable lessons for other countries. She added that stronger engagement with China can benefit Pakistan’s future development goals.
She emphasized that learning Chinese can strengthen Pakistan-China relations. She said language skills can improve trade access and cultural understanding. She also noted that Chinese language training is being provided to Punjab Police for security duties involving Chinese nationals.

She further said Chinese language proficiency can help connect with China’s market and culture. She stressed that people-to-people ties are essential for long-term cooperation. She added that Pakistan’s relationship with China continues to grow in political and economic importance.
