
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Thursday assured the US Ambassador Natalie Baker of comprehensive security arrangements for all foreign dignitaries ahead of the upcoming US-Iran talks in Islamabad.

In a meeting at the Ministry of Interior, Naqvi emphasized that US Vice President JD Vance, US Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff, and former senior adviser Jared Kushner would be treated as “special guests,” with foolproof security measures in place. He assured that a comprehensive security plan had been prepared to protect the foreign delegations in every respect.

The US envoy appreciated Pakistan’s proactive diplomatic and security arrangements, highlighting Islamabad’s role as a neutral host facilitating high-stakes negotiations.
Meanwhile, the Islamabad Police issued a traffic advisory alerting commuters about diversions on the Express Highway due to the movement of foreign delegations. The advisory urged residents to plan their travel accordingly and cooperate with traffic authorities to ensure smooth movement.
