Sindh Government Spokesperson Sukhdev Hemnani reaffirmed the provincial government’s commitment to protecting the religious rights and freedoms of the Christian community.
He stated that special security arrangements have been put in place at churches and related places across Sindh for Good Friday and Easter from April 3 to 5, 2026.
The police have been directed to ensure comprehensive security measures to prevent any untoward incidents and ensure peaceful observance of religious events.
Hemnani said that the PPP-led Sindh Government, under Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, remains committed to inclusivity, equal citizenship, and the protection of minority rights.
He added that Sindh will continue to promote interfaith harmony and ensure that all communities can practice their religious traditions freely and safely.
