Pakistan celebrated Pakistan Day on Monday with traditional ceremonies, patriotic events, and renewed pledges to uphold the founding vision of the nation.
The day began with a 31-gun salute in Islamabad, while 21-gun salutes were held in provincial capitals, marking the significance of the occasion. Special prayers were offered in mosques across the country after Fajr prayers, seeking peace, stability, and prosperity for the nation.

Pakistan Day commemorates the historic Lahore Resolution, adopted on March 23, 1940, which laid the foundation for the creation of a separate homeland for Muslims of the Subcontinent. The day serves as a reminder of the vision and struggle that led to the establishment of the country.

Citizens across the country observed the day with national spirit, reaffirming their commitment to transform Pakistan into a welfare state in line with the ideals of Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Public and private institutions held various events to highlight the importance of unity, faith, and discipline.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar extended greetings to the nation, highlighting the historical importance of the day. In his message, he recalled the significance of the Lahore Resolution and the demand for a separate homeland where Muslims could live according to their beliefs.
