Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa on Saturday visited Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Hospital along with the Deputy Commissioner Islamabad and other relevant officials to inquire after those injured in the recent blast at the Tarlai Imambargah.
During the visit, Randhawa expressed deep sorrow and grief over the tragic incident and directed hospital authorities to ensure the best possible medical treatment for the injured. He assured that all necessary healthcare facilities would be provided to the victims.
The chief commissioner also visited Imambargah Khadijat-ul-Kubra in Tarlai, the site of the attack, where reconstruction and repair work has already commenced.
He instructed authorities to complete the restoration work at the earliest.
Condemning the blast that occurred during Friday prayers at the mosque and imambargah, Randhawa termed the attack “cowardly” and said targeting places of worship was a direct assault on humanity, peace, and religious harmony.
He offered prayers for the departed souls, expressed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, and wished a speedy recovery for the injured. He also assured that authorities were taking robust security measures to prevent such incidents in Islamabad in the future.
