Medvedev, deputy chairman of Russia’s Security Council, made the remarks during an interview with Reuters and Russian media. He spoke at his residence outside Moscow. He described the current global situation as highly unstable.

“The situation is very dangerous,” Medvedev said. He warned that the pain threshold is decreasing, making escalation more likely. As a result, risks are growing across multiple conflict zones.
Despite the rising tensions, Medvedev rejected claims that Russia wants a global war. He said Russia is not interested in such a conflict. “Who needs a global conflict?” he asked.
