
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said timely completion of federal development projects in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa remains a top government priority. He made the remarks during a meeting with KP public representatives in Islamabad. The discussion focused on governance, public issues, and project progress.
During the meeting, the prime minister said the federal government understands KP’s challenges. He added that serious measures are underway to ensure sustainable solutions. Moreover, he stressed that development work must deliver visible public relief.

Meanwhile, participants criticised the KP government’s performance. They cited weak governance and neglect of public concerns as major problems. Consequently, the prime minister urged representatives to prioritise resolving public issues.
In addition, Shehbaz Sharif highlighted the importance of youth development. He said young people are a national asset and confirmed the continuation of the merit-based laptop scheme. He noted that such initiatives support education and skills.

Finally, the prime minister announced a review committee under Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal. The committee will visit Peshawar to assess federal project progress. Officials aim to speed up implementation and ensure timely completion.
