Meesha Shafi reveals cross-border collaboration with Talwiinder

Published on: December 18, 2025 12:15 AM

Meesha Shafi has confirmed the details of her much-anticipated next musical release, ending days of speculation among fans.

The singer announced that her upcoming single, ‘Sachay Loki’, set to be released on Friday, is a collaboration with Indian singer-songwriter Talwiinder.

The reveal comes after more than a week of carefully planned teasing on social media.

On December 8, Shafi shared images from the song’s cover shoot, prompting followers to guess the featured artist while a Talwiinder track played subtly in the background. A second post on December 14 disclosed the song’s title and release date but concealed the collaborator’s name, revealing only the letters “Ta” – further fueling curiosity. With the mystery now solved, excitement is building around what the two artists have created together. The official cover art features Shafi and Talwiinder standing back to back against the striking backdrop of a total solar eclipse.

Shafi appears in a shimmering outfit paired with a chain-adorned headpiece, while Talwiinder is seen in his trademark face paint and bandana.

The collaboration marks another cross-border project for both musicians.

Shafi has previously worked in India, including a notable supporting role in the 2012 Bollywood biopic ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’. Talwiinder, meanwhile, has developed a strong musical following in Pakistan through several high-profile collaborations. He previously teamed up with Pakistani singer Hasan Raheem on the hit track ‘Wishes’, which ranked among the country’s most-streamed songs over the past two years.
