Beep App Pakistan Set for Government Use

The Beep app Pakistan will soon launch for government employees. Officials briefed a National Assembly committee on Tuesday. The secure messaging app is locally developed. It is inspired by China’s WeChat platform.

Authorities said the Beep app Pakistan offers strong security. It provides end-to-end encryption for messages and video calls. Government agencies have certified it for official use. The National Computer Emergency Response Team approved deployment.

The rollout will happen in phases nationwide. It will start with federal ministries and attached departments. Officials expect the launch within two months. The app will integrate with the federal e-Office system.

Meanwhile, lawmakers raised concerns about telecom services. They rejected the PTA’s claim of 99 percent user satisfaction. Members cited weak signals and frequent internet slowdowns. They demanded independent service quality audits.
