Soldier martyred, seven terrorists killed in Dera Ismail Khan

Published on: December 15, 2025 9:15 PM

Pakistani killed seven terrorists in an intelligence-based operation in Kulachi, Dera Ismail Khan, ISPR said. One soldier, Naik Yasir Khan, 34, from Mardan, was martyred during the firefight. Weapons, ammunition, and explosives were recovered from the scene.

The operation targeted members of the Indian-backed Fitna al Khwarij group, involved in multiple terrorist activities. ISPR confirmed that the group had carried out attacks in Dera Ismail Khan and surrounding areas. Counterterrorism operations are ongoing to eliminate any remaining militants.

The recovered weapons and explosives indicate the militants were planning further attacks. Security forces are sanitizing the area to ensure no threats remain. The military emphasized that such operations aim to protect civilians and maintain law and order.

This operation is part of the federal “Azm-e-Istehkam” initiative, launched to combat foreign-sponsored terrorism across Pakistan. ISPR reaffirmed that intelligence-based operations will continue to neutralize terrorist networks nationwide.

The military mourned the loss of Naik Yasir Khan, praising his bravery and sacrifice. Authorities also urged locals to remain vigilant and support security forces in ongoing counterterrorism efforts.
