
Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto will visit Pakistan on December 8 and 9, marking a significant milestone in bilateral relations, as confirmed by the Foreign Office on Sunday.
The visit comes at the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and will include a high-level delegation of ministers and senior Indonesian officials, highlighting the importance of the two nations’ cooperation.

This year’s visit is especially notable as Pakistan and Indonesia celebrate the 75th anniversary of their diplomatic ties, reflecting decades of partnership in political, economic, and strategic arenas.
During his stay, President Subianto will hold talks with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, focusing on boosting trade, investment, defence collaboration, and cultural exchanges to strengthen mutual cooperation between the countries.

He is also scheduled to meet President Asif Ali Zardari and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, to discuss enhanced security collaboration and joint defence initiatives.
Diplomatic sources expect the visit to yield new agreements and reinforce long-standing commitments, paving the way for deeper engagement across economic, political, and strategic sectors in the coming years.
