Two alleged drug-traffickers were killed during an encounter in the area of Roshanwala police station. A police spokesman said that Circle Officer Headquarter Iram Raza Shah, along with In-charge CCD Madina Divisional Ali Ikram, came across two suspects at a picket near Balochwala in the area of Roshanwala police who opened indiscriminate fire on the police team.
The police also returned the fire, and during this encounter, both accused were killed and they were identified as Gulfam alias Gullo and Farzand alias Fani, who were wanted to the police in a number of cases of murder and narcotics.
The police recovered weapons, drugs and other items from their possession while the corpses were shifted to mortuary for postmortem and further investigation was under progress, spokesman added.
