The seizure occurred at the Search Park checkpoint, where authorities stopped a truck carrying fruit crates for inspection. Officers discovered the hashish concealed inside the crates.

Three inter-provincial drug smugglers were arrested at the scene. The suspects, identified as Zain Khan, Muhammad Sardar, and Muhammad Waseem, are residents of Mianwali. They were taken into custody, and a case has been registered against them.

Police said the investigation is ongoing to trace the broader network behind the smuggling attempt, highlighting the continued crackdown on narcotics trafficking across provincial borders.

Earlier this month, on November 19, the Pakistan Coast Guards (PCG) seized a massive cache of narcotics during intelligence-based operations in the Gwadar region of Balochistan, including Hallery and Peshogan. Authorities recovered 1,400 kg of hashish, 105 kg of crystal meth, 8 kg of heroin, and 6.5 kg of opium hidden in bushes.

In a separate operation, the PCG also confiscated 476 kg of high-quality hashish during snap checks along the coastal route at Pasoo Gap in Peshogan. Officials believe these drugs were destined for international markets.
