The Islamabad district administration has banned the use of loudspeakers, sound amplifiers, and other sound systems, except for Azan and Friday sermons, across the federal capital to maintain public order.

Additional District Magistrate Sahibzada Muhammad Yousaf issued multiple orders prohibiting cassette players, CD or DVD systems, and any medium used for objectionable or sectarian speeches within Islamabad Capital Territory.

The administration also restricted using rough papers containing holy words or Quranic verses for wrapping or packaging, along with banning the sale, purchase, and use of crackers and fireworks in the city.

Furthermore, carrying or displaying firearms is forbidden for civilians, except authorized personnel from the armed forces, Rangers, police, or paramilitary. Boating at Rawal Dam and Simly Dam is also strictly prohibited.

Authorities have additionally banned illegal petrol storage, the use of unmanned aerial vehicles, stone extraction through blasting, and distribution of offensive handbills, posters, or wall chalking that may target religious groups.

Other measures include prohibiting gatherings of five or more people, processions, unauthorized tire storage, and accumulation of stagnant water in residential or commercial areas to prevent mosquito breeding. These restrictions will remain in force for two months.
