Actor and podcast host Owen Thiele has opened up about the invaluable support he received from Call Her Daddy host Alex Cooper before a major interview on his show. In an exclusive conversation with People, Thiele described Cooper as a “mentor” who offered him essential advice ahead of his high-profile talk with Hailey Bieber.
Thiele launched his podcast In Your Dreams in September 2024 under Cooper’s Unwell Network, a collaboration that emerged after Cooper encouraged him to explore podcasting soon after they met at a party. Despite their contrasting interviewing styles — Thiele being casual and conversational, while Cooper tends to be “hard-hitting and smart” — he says she has always understood his creative vision.
Recalling the moments leading up to his Bieber interview, Thiele shared that he reached out to Cooper in a moment of uncertainty, simply asking her, “What do you ask Hailey Bieber?” Beyond podcasting, Thiele is continuing to expand his acting career, having starred in the first seasons of Adults on FX and Overcompensating on Prime Video, both of which have been renewed.
