Prime suspect in minor girl murder case arrested

Published on: November 13, 2025 4:33 AM

Mirpurkhas Police on Wednesday arrested the prime suspect involved in the horrific abduction and murder of Aamna, a minor girl from Jhulri area of Tehsil Shujaabad, Mirpurkhas. The suspect, Zahid son of Muhammad Ashraf alias Khabar Khaskheli, was arrested on November 12, 2025, from Goth Mubeen Khaskheli.

During interrogation, Zahid confessed to abducting Aamna with the intent to commit sexual assault. However, when she cried and screamed, he strangled her with a discarded IV tube, killing her instantly. He then hid the body behind a school wall and later threw it into the Jamrao Canal.

The case has been updated under Section 302 (murder), and further investigation is underway. SSP Mirpurkhas Dr. Sumair Noor Channa announced commendations and rewards for the investigation officers involved in the swift arrest of the suspect.

The brutal incident sparked outrage across political, social, and religious circles, with many expressing deep solidarity with the victim’s family. The police have assured the family of justice and are working tirelessly to bring the perpetrator to justice.
