
KARACHI – Seven suspected criminals were arrested during separate police encounters across Karachi on Sunday night, with four of them sustaining injuries during shootouts and admitted to hospitals.
In Memon Ghot, three alleged street criminals were apprehended after exchanging fire with police, with two injured in the process. Authorities recovered a motorcycle, weapons, and looted valuables from the suspects.

Another encounter in Rizvia led to the arrest of two outlaws who were also injured during the shootout. Police seized weapons and stolen items, and further investigation is ongoing. In Sohrab Kot, a single street criminal was injured and arrested, with his motorcycle and looted valuables recovered.
Meanwhile, traders protested on Tariq Road after a customs team raided shops for non-custom-paid cloth and goods. Police used baton charges and aerial firing to disperse the crowd, preventing further escalation.
