Experts explain that Karachi lies in a region with low to moderate seismic activity. However, occasional tremors can occur due to shifts in underground fault lines. The Meteorological Department urges residents to stay calm and follow safety procedures. They recommend avoiding tall furniture, securing heavy items, and moving to open spaces if needed.
City officials confirmed that emergency services are on standby. They stated that regular monitoring continues across Karachi and surrounding areas. Teams will assess any potential damage immediately after stronger tremors. Residents are also advised to report any unusual activity or signs of damage to authorities. This preparedness aims to reduce risks and ensure public safety.
