
Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif congratulated Cambodia and Thailand on signing the Kuala Lumpur Peace Accord. He called it a “historic day for peace and diplomacy,” emphasizing its role in strengthening regional stability, cooperation, and economic ties between the two nations.
He praised US President Donald Trump for his ongoing global peace efforts. Shehbaz highlighted Trump’s initiatives in Gaza, South Asia, and other conflict zones. He credited Trump’s involvement in international diplomacy for saving millions of lives worldwide.

The Prime Minister stressed the importance of regional diplomacy in maintaining long-term peace. He said the Cambodia-Thailand accord demonstrates how dialogue can resolve long-standing disputes and foster stability across Southeast Asia.
Shehbaz Sharif also paid tribute to Malaysian PM Anwar Ibrahim. He called him his “brother” and praised Malaysia’s pivotal role in facilitating the peace deal. The Prime Minister noted that Malaysia’s mediation reflects its growing influence in promoting dialogue, harmony, and regional cooperation.
