
LAHORE: Punjab Police have launched a major crackdown against Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) activists involved in violent protests, arresting 954 individuals so far, officials confirmed on Thursday.
According to police sources, operations are underway in multiple districts, with special raids in Lahore using modern technology and location tracking systems to trace and apprehend fugitive suspects.
Officials said several TLP protesters linked to acts of violence and vandalism remain at large, and targeted raids are being conducted to arrest them.

The Lahore Police have compiled a target list of about 3,500 protesters, while special units have been formed to accelerate the arrests.
Inspector General (IG) Punjab has directed Lahore Police to continue strict operations until all wanted individuals are detained. Police sources added that around 4,500 protesters are being pursued, including 3,500 listed in the target file, who will face legal proceedings for their involvement in the unrest.
