Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has ordered the immediate transfer of bulletproof vehicles to Balochistan after Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) refused to accept them. The move came in response to a public request by Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti, who highlighted the province’s urgent security needs.
KP Chief Minister Sohail Afridi declined the federal offer of the vehicles without giving a public reason. Following this, CM Bugti took to social media to request the transfer, pointing out that Balochistan faces serious threats from terrorism. He urged the federal government to reallocate the vehicles to enhance his province’s security.

In his message, Bugti stressed that Balochistan’s law enforcement officials work in highly dangerous conditions. He said bulletproof vehicles would improve the protection of frontline personnel and strengthen counter-terrorism capabilities. His appeal quickly gained attention and triggered a prompt federal response.
Minister Naqvi responded directly to the request, confirming that the vehicles would be sent to Balochistan without delay. He stated the federal government remains committed to aiding provinces in the fight against terrorism. Naqvi added that protecting security forces in high-risk areas is a top national priority.
