Elon Musk Nears $500 Billion, Halfway to Trillionaire

Billionaire Elon Musk net worth has reached nearly $500 billion, bringing him halfway to becoming the world’s first trillionaire, Forbes reported. The Tesla and SpaceX CEO briefly hit $500.1 billion on Wednesday.

His net worth later dipped to $499.1 billion, according to Forbes’ “Real-Time Billionaires” tracker. Musk remains the richest person on the planet.

Oracle CEO Larry Ellison is second at $350.7 billion, followed by Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg at $245.8 billion, Forbes reported.

Musk earned his first millions after selling an online publishing software company to Compaq for over $300 million in 1999. Later, his company merged with PayPal, boosting his wealth further.

He founded SpaceX in 2002 and joined Tesla in 2004. Analysts say Elon Musk net worth may soon cross $1 trillion if his companies’ growth continues.
