IHC demands details of cases against Imran Khan

Published on: September 11, 2025 4:47 PM

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday directed authorities to provide detailed information about all cases registered against former Prime Minister Imran Khan. The court issued the order while hearing Khan’s petition to halt actions by NAB, FIA, and the police. Justice Muhammad Azam Khan presided over the proceedings, which saw the participation of Khan’s legal team, family members, and NAB officials.

During the hearing, Khan’s counsel requested the formation of a larger bench to hear the matter. However, NAB officials opposed the request, arguing that the petition did not contain sufficient grounds to justify convening a larger bench. The court carefully considered both sides before proceeding further.

The NAB special prosecutor informed the court that some time was needed to compile and provide details of the cases registered against Khan. In response, Khan’s lawyer requested that all parties be given seven days to prepare the necessary documentation. The court acknowledged the request and granted the timeline.

Subsequently, the IHC directed NAB, FIA, and the police to submit complete details of all cases filed against Imran Khan. The court emphasized the need for clarity and transparency in handling the former premier’s legal matters. This step is aimed at ensuring that the proceedings follow proper legal procedures.

Khan’s petition seeks to temporarily halt actions taken against him by NAB, FIA, and police authorities. His legal team argued that multiple investigations are causing undue pressure and disruption to his personal and political activities. The court is now closely examining the details before taking further action.

The case is being closely monitored by political observers, as it involves one of Pakistan’s most prominent political figures. The submission of detailed case information is expected to provide the court with a clearer understanding of the scope and nature of the investigations against Khan.
