An AirBlue flight from Lahore to Karachi failed to depart for the second consecutive day, leaving passengers stranded at Allama Iqbal International Airport. Flight PA-407 was initially scheduled to take off on Sunday but remains grounded due to persistent technical issues. Frustrated travelers voiced their concerns as the wait extended beyond expectations, causing rising tensions at the terminal.
Despite multiple announcements, the airline failed to provide a clear timeline for departure, which added to the confusion. As a result, heated arguments broke out between passengers and the airline’s staff. Many passengers expressed their disappointment over the lack of coordination and communication from the airline during the delay.
The situation is not an isolated incident, as delays and cancellations have become increasingly common for the airline. On Saturday, another AirBlue flight, PA-201 from Islamabad to Karachi, also faced several hours of delay. Scheduled to depart at 7:45 am, the flight had not even begun boarding hours later.
Passengers at Islamabad International Airport similarly complained about poor handling of the situation. They highlighted the repeated changes in departure times and the absence of helpful updates from the airline. Moreover, the lack of basic seating arrangements and support services only added to their discomfort.
Meanwhile, affected passengers at both airports urged the Civil Aviation Authority to take notice. They also demanded stricter regulations to ensure accountability and better service from private airlines. Passengers emphasized that such experiences not only disrupt their plans but also erode trust in domestic air travel.
As the airline continues to face growing criticism, travelers are hoping for timely solutions and improved operations. Until then, they remain stuck in limbo, waiting for clear answers and a safe takeoff.
