Alizeh Shah speaks out on on-set abuse

Published on: July 21, 2025 7:04 PM

Pakistani actress Alizeh Shah has come forward claiming that a deliberate and well-funded campaign was launched to tarnish her reputation. In a series of Instagram stories, she revealed that money was spent on social media pages to spread false allegations against her. Shah said she endured mistreatment and disrespect on shooting sets but was instructed to remain silent, only to later face baseless accusations from senior colleagues.

According to Shah, she was wrongfully accused of damaging equipment and misbehaving during shoots as part of a planned effort to malign her image. She expressed frustration that when she tried to take legal action for the unfair treatment, she was stopped. Instead, negative news about her was circulated by various TV channels, adding to her distress.

She strongly denied rumors that she smoked in her makeup room, calling such claims completely untrue. Shah also accused senior actors and directors of exploiting her, giving her roles as if she were their possession and expecting her to tolerate their behavior. Reflecting on her early career as a child artist, she said she often faced hardship, being forced out of air-conditioned rooms while seniors remained comfortably inside.

One particularly troubling incident involved a senior actor who allegedly threw sweat on her face. When she confronted him, he reacted negatively, implying she was expected to accept such behavior without complaint. Shah also spoke about financial difficulties, stating that her payments were frequently delayed by three to four months, and she was sometimes paid only partial fees. She described feeling humiliated as her earnings were treated like charity, making her feel undervalued in the industry.

In the past, actors like Yasir Nawaz, Zarnish Khan, and Naveed Raza had accused Alizeh Shah of being rude or difficult to work with. However, Yasir Nawaz and Zarnish Khan later issued public apologies for their statements, highlighting the complicated nature of Shah’s relationships in the entertainment industry.
