PTI founder Imran Khan has sent a strong and clear message to his party from Adiala Jail, according to his sister, Aleema Khan. Speaking to the media outside the Anti-Terrorism Court in Rawalpindi, she voiced serious concerns about his safety and announced plans to take the matter to the Supreme Court.
Aleema Khan said both Imran Khan and her nephew are being kept in what she called “unjust and illegal” custody. “Our focus is the release of innocent detainees, especially our family members,” she said. She warned that Imran Khan’s life is in danger while he remains in jail.
She revealed that Imran Khan has sent a firm message to PTI leadership: “End internal conflicts, unite, and relaunch the movement.” Aleema emphasized that although he is under pressure, Imran remains mentally strong and committed to his political mission.
Aleema also accused authorities of emotionally targeting Khan by going after his wife, Bushra Bibi. She said this was a deliberate attempt to break his spirit. However, she clarified that Khan is willing to negotiate only for the nation’s benefit — not for any personal relief or deal.
Finally, she claimed that Imran Khan is being kept in solitary confinement, with no access to newspapers or television. She called the jail superintendent dishonest and alleged that Maryam Nawaz intentionally appointed him to mistreat Imran. Meanwhile, jail officials insist that Imran is in good health and receiving regular medical checks.
