Several popular Pakistani celebrities have once again faced Instagram account blocks in India, just a day after the restrictions were briefly lifted. Indian users now see a message saying, “Account not available in India” due to a legal request.
Celebrities like Yumna Zaidi, Danish Taimoor, and Mawra Hocane have had their Instagram handles become inaccessible once more. This sudden re-blocking came after a short window on July 1, when many Pakistani Instagram and YouTube accounts appeared visible again in India.
During that brief period, stars such as Saba Qamar and Ahad Raza Mir also made a surprising return to Indian social media feeds. This led to discussions about a quiet reversal of the ban, sparking mixed reactions among fans and the entertainment industry.
However, the All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) strongly opposed the move, condemning the sudden lifting of restrictions. Their protest may have influenced the quick re-imposition of the block on Pakistani Instagram accounts.
Interestingly, despite the Instagram blocks, major Pakistani YouTube channels remain accessible to Indian viewers. Dramas and shows from these channels continue to stream without restrictions, keeping Pakistani content alive on the platform.
This ongoing back-and-forth highlights the sensitive nature of cross-border entertainment sharing between India and Pakistan. Fans on both sides continue to watch closely as the situation unfolds.
