Iran’s elite unit warns of strong retaliation after U.S. strike on nuclear sites

The spokesperson of Iran’s elite Khatam al-Anbia unit has issued a strong warning to the United States, promising severe consequences following U.S. airstrikes on three of Iran’s nuclear facilities.

Speaking to Iranian media, Colonel Ebrahim Zolfaghari accused the U.S. of carrying out these attacks on behalf of Israel, calling it a blatant violation of Iran’s sovereignty. He described the strike as a “criminal act” meant to revive what he called a collapsing Zionist regime.

The spokesperson stressed that the recent aggression has expanded Iran’s range of legitimate targets and hinted at powerful, diverse responses in the near future. He warned that the U.S. should prepare for “strong operations and serious consequences.”

Colonel Zolfaghari cited a Quranic verse, stating, “God commands you to prepare strength to frighten your enemies.” He emphasized that Iran is ready to confront its enemies and will use all means necessary to defend its sovereignty.

He further declared that the U.S. has now officially entered a direct war with Iran, adding that Washington has failed to achieve its goals. According to him, the U.S. attack has only fueled the possibility of a wider conflict in the region.

The Khatam al-Anbia unit operates directly under Iran’s General Staff and is separate from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). Colonel Zolfaghari ended his statement with a sharp message: “Trump started this war — we will be the ones to finish it.”
