Head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization (AEOI), Mohammad Eslami, said on Wednesday that Iran’s nuclear facilities remain completely safe and in good condition, following the recent Israeli airstrikes.
Speaking to Mehr News Agency, Eslami responded to concerns raised after Israel’s Operation Rising Line, launched in the early hours of June 13, which targeted multiple sites across Iran. The operation included military installations, nuclear facilities, and residential areas, including the Natanz nuclear site in Isfahan province.
Despite reports of damage, Eslami stressed that Iran’s nuclear infrastructure is intact and that “the sites are fully secure and operating normally.” He praised the resilience of AEOI personnel, noting that they continue to fulfill their duties with “full determination and strong morale.”
He further emphasized that Iran will not be intimidated. “Pride and strength run deep in the Iranian nation’s identity,” Eslami said, adding that enemy forces will gain nothing through military aggression. He reiterated Iran’s right to maintain peaceful nuclear capabilities, which are being unfairly targeted.
The attacks reportedly resulted in the deaths of several Iranian commanders, nuclear scientists, and civilians. However, Iran has vowed to maintain its nuclear progress and not surrender to pressure or violence, reinforcing that its program is purely peaceful and legally protected.
