Hafiz Naeem warns: Pakistan is next target of US and Israel

LAHORE – Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman has claimed that the United States and Israel are now setting their sights on Pakistan, calling it their “next target.” He made the statement during a press conference at Mansoorah, Lahore, on Tuesday.

He strongly criticized the US for what he called its “double standards,” accusing Washington of calling for peace while continuing to send military aid to Israel. He also slammed US accusations against Iran regarding nuclear weapons development, calling them baseless and politically motivated.

Hafiz Naeem alleged that the US has committed genocide in various countries and is now enabling Israel’s expansionist ambitions. He warned that Israel aims to build a “Greater Israel” by pushing for regime change in Iran, and possibly Pakistan as well. According to him, Pakistan’s nuclear program is a major reason for this hostility.

The JI leader stated that all Muslim countries must support Iran at this critical time. He warned that silence now could lead to future attacks on other Muslim nations. He also dismissed Donald Trump’s ability to mediate peace in Kashmir, saying Trump has only damaged peace globally.

In addition, Naeem took aim at the Pakistani government for increasing fuel prices, claiming the rise was falsely justified by international market trends. He argued that if the petroleum levy was removed, fuel prices could drop by 40%.

Lastly, he labeled the new federal budget as “unfair,” stating that it burdens the public with excessive taxes. He urged the government to stop exploiting the people and start addressing real economic challenges.
