LAHORE: The election code of conduct was violated by almost all political parties during the NA-120 by-election on Sunday. It was observed that political parties, including Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Jamaat-e-Islami, Milli Muslim League, Tehrik Labaik Pakistan and many others, were using private vehicles to transport voters to polling stations. Moreover, polling camps were also established by political parties within 200 meters radius of polling stations. In another case, vehicles of the Municipal Corporation Lahore were seen removing banners, flags and posters of all opposing parties from different roads and intersections. When asked, officials with the vehicles said that they were only removing banners, posters, which have been displayed within 200 meters of polling stations.
