Inspector General Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, has taken personal charge of the ongoing modernization efforts in police offices, ensuring the provision of the latest resources and facilities. Displaying his commitment to this initiative, IG Punjab, accompanied by senior police officers, conducted a late-night to early-morning visit to various police stations, police offices, and development projects in Lahore.
During the visit, IG Punjab meticulously reviewed the progress of the construction at multiple police stations and issued instructions for their prompt completion. He emphasized that the special initiatives, intelligent police stations, and service centers introduced by the Punjab Police are on par with modern police stations worldwide regarding aesthetics, quality, service delivery, and modern facilities.
The visit commenced with an inspection of Raiwind City Police Station, where Dr. Usman Anwar carefully assessed the completed work and provided instructions regarding furniture and other necessary facilities. Moving forward, IG Punjab visited the under-construction Police Khidmat Center in Shadman, where he received a briefing from DIG Operations Lahore, Ali Nasir Rizvi, regarding the project and the construction of the Police Service Center Shadman. Expressing his satisfaction, IG Punjab praised the Police Service Center Shadman as an exceptional gift from Chief Minister Punjab, Mohsin Naqvi, to the citizens of Lahore. The state-of-the-art building of the Police Khidmat Center Shadman is slated for completion by January 31, and once finished, it will stand as a symbol of beauty, modern amenities, and efficient service delivery among police offices globally.
Continuing the inspection, IG Punjab visited the CIA Police Station and CIA Chung, focusing on the CIA Organized Crime Building in Chung and evaluating both construction progress and professional matters. He also stopped at Thana Lower Mall, where ongoing development works were reviewed. Dr. Usman Anwar stressed the importance of completing the upgrade work by modern standards.
Further emphasizing the commitment to modernization, IG Punjab visited the under-construction Lahore Police Command Centre and Police Apartments in Qurban Lines. He reiterated that police offices and stations throughout the province, including Lahore, are undergoing significant upgrades with the support of the Punjab government. These improvements, coupled with the provision of modern facilities, are accelerating the public service delivery process.
