NA 130: The decision to dismiss the appeal against Nawaz Sharif’s papers is challenged The decision to dismiss the appeal against approval of nomination papers from NA-130 of PML-N leader, former Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif was challenged in the Lahore High Court. The application was filed by Ishtiaq Chaudhry Advocate. The petitioner Ishtiaq Chaudhry Advocate has taken a stand in the petition that the Election Tribunal dismissed the appeal against the approval of Nawaz Sharif’s nomination papers contrary to the facts. The petitioner has adopted the position that Nawaz Sharif is ineligible for life, cannot contest the election, the Supreme Court’s decision of lifelong ineligibility came after accepting the nomination papers of Nawaz Sharif. The petitioner is of the opinion that the decision of the Supreme Court does not apply to the case of Nawaz Sharif. It has been requested in the petition that the court should order the rejection of Nawaz Sharif’s nomination papers.
