KARACHI: Hundreds of political workers of various parties announced to join the Pak Sarzameen Party on Saturday. The announcement came during the press conference of PSP chief Mustafa Kamal. The workers included 191 of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan, 97 of Pakistan People’s Party, 15 of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, 37 of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-L, 37 of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, nine of All Pakistan Muslim League, 13 of Jamaat-e-Islami, 24 of Sunni Tehreek, four of Awami National Party, six of Pakistan Muslim League, 22 of Jiye Sindh Qaumi Mahaz and 765 others. Speaking at the press conference, Kamal said his party was approached by large numbers of political workers from various parties in the last few days. “More than 1900 political workers from different political parties have joined my party,” he said. “It has been a satisfactory day for the peaceful workers of our, who have worked hard never resorted to violence and remained peaceful despite provocations and victimization.” “Those who incite hatred and anti-state sentiments could not motivate people of Karachi towards them.” The former Karachi mayor said, “The historic event shows that our party is moving towards progress.
