Sir: The former President of Pakistan General Pervez Musharraf still believes himself to be the saviour of Pakistan. Whenever he appears on television, which he often does, he claims to have his finger on the pulse of the masses, thus knowing what ails them, makes them happy and where the recipe of bringing true good to the nation lies. He has been criticising nearly every institution for the disappointment it has brought to the nation. However, if I may ask, was it is not Musharraf who sent the sitting judges packing — the action that ultimately weakened his hold on power? If the former president thinks he has the ability to change the fate of this nation, then why does he not return from his self-imposed exile? Instead of delivering lectures and earning millions in fees, he should come to Pakistan and face the music so that this nation can at last have a saviour. A A PRANEKA UK
