Sir: Darwin’s theory of evolution says that modern men have evolved from apes. The theory is based on the fact that there is much documented proof of evolution among different mammals all over the world. Plus, there is fossil evidence of the evolutionary changes of different mammals. It is called a theory because there is no solid proof. It is only a theory that links fossil evidence to our current state. Islam, Christianity and Judaism are the three largest religions in the world; all teach that man was created by God and did not come into being through evolution. This discrepancy between the two groups has caused a number of arguments and discussions. Both cannot be true and we cannot deny fossil evidence and the world’s religions. There is another explanation and I call it the ‘theory of devolution’. Technically, there is no such term as devolution because evolution neither has a teleological direction nor a motive. In other words, there is no forward or reverse in evolution. Evolution deals with the genetic adaption of populations as a result of natural selection to forms that are best suited to their environment. Therefore, it may be possible for a species to ‘devolve’ into simpler species to adapt better to the environment and to increase the exploitation of resources for increased reproductive success.
Therefore, the theory of devolution states that man was created by God. Some tribes of men, during the ages, have devolved into simpler species like monkeys and pigs. Everyone knows that monkeys are the mammals that are most similar to humans, anatomically. However, most people do not know that pigs are the mammals that are also very similar to humans in other ways. Pigs are the only animals that have internal body organs similar to human beings. Pigs also can digest vegetables and meat. Pigs have similar skin, hair, nails and even skin pigmentation to humans. Humans may have devolved into pigs and monkeys, to increase their chances of survival in a harsh environment. That would explain the fossil proof found of humans with ape-like features. Since evolution (or in this case devolution) would take hundreds of years, therefore there should be evidence of the in-between stages of evolution from humans to monkeys and pigs. I would also like to say that evolutionary fossil proof of human devolution into pigs has not been found, as no one is looking for it. This theory of devolution will explain Darwin’s Evolutionary Theory and will also satisfy religious people.
