LARKANA: A Constitutional Petition (CP) has been filed by petitioner Qadir Bux in Sindh High Court (SHC), Circuit Court, against paramedic office-bearers of Chandka Medical College Hospital (CMCH), Larkana on Friday. The CP has been filed against respondents Zulfiqar Ali Sahto, Shahi Khan Jagirani (both Paramedical Staff Union office bears), Medical Superintendent, Chandka Medical College Hospital, Secretary, Health Departments, SHOs of Civil Lines, Rahmatpur and Waleed police stations, SSP, Deputy Commissioner, Larkana and Province of Sindh through Chief Secretary. The petitioner stated in his petition that respondent No 1 & 2 (Zulfiqar Sahto & Shahi Khan Jagirani respectively) are office bearers of Para Medical Staff Union of CMCH & they are having their relations with the political party. Since last one week, he further submitted, these respondents have instigated the paramedical staff of CMCH not to perform their duty & to raise unlawful agitation with a view to blackmail the administration to achieve their ulterior motives. The petitioner further said in his petition that both the respondents have locked the CMCH OPDs resultantly thousands of the patients, suffering from various diseases and belong to far-fetched areas of interior Sindh & Balochistan, are facing great inconvenience. He further submitted that official respondents have completely failed to take any legal action against both respondents & other officials who are creating malfeasance in the hospital and have created blockade in the smooth running of affairs of medical institution for which official respondents are bound to take action against the delinquents which they have failed to do so. Bhatti has prayed the court to declare their unlawful agitation and protest and applying locks to the OPDs, laboratories and other departments & creating hindrances in smooth running of CMCH business and their failure to perform their official duty, as ultra-virus, null & void. He has further pray that official respondents may also be directed to immediately take action against both respondents and other delinquents to make the hospital functional.
