Sir: Ever since the demise of Quaid-i-Azam, Pakistan has slipped into the hands of pseudo-intellectuals given to self-aggrandizement and self-projection at the cost of national unity. The confusion created by this situation has affected an ordinary man. Socrates was right when he said, “Nobility is impossible without good birth.” Decency and maturity of thought emanates from genes and not from fake degrees or wealth accumulated through illegal means. Our leaders are busy playing a game of hide and seek, to the detriment of the national interest. But the time has since arrived to expose those against the integrity and national interest of the country. We have had enough garbage in the name of democracy. Mustahsan Ali TirmiziIslamabad
