KARACHI: Pakistan’s suspended opener Sharjeel Khan has said that he has done nothing wrong that could bring the country’s name into disrepute. While speaking to reporters at UBL Sports Complex, Sharjeel said that he is innocent and everything would be cleared soon. Sharjeel was reluctant to speak to media initially because PCB has asked the explosive batsman to stay away from media. However, on insistence from his father, he only claimed his innocence before driving away. Sharjeel has been suspended along with his Islamabad United’s teammate Khalid Latif for alleged match-fixing during PSL match. According to PCB, the duo confessed to the crime initially but changed their mind after returning home. The two players are epected to submit their version to PCB’s charge-sheet within the next week.
