KARACHI: Sindh Finance Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah is likely to take oath as new chief minister of the province next week. The Sindh Assembly session is likely to be convened on July 29 to elect the new chief minister of the province, sources said. Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah will submit his resignation to the governor on Tuesday (today). Separately, Murad Ali Shah called on Sindh Governor Dr Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan at Governor’s House on Monday. A statement issued by Governor’s House said that matters pertaining to the law and order situation and ongoing development projects came up for discussion during the meeting. The governor asked the minister to ensure timely release of funds for development projects so that they could be completed on time.
