Karachi: Lawyers boycott court proceedings against the issuance of arrest warrant of Lahore High Court Bar Association Multan Bench President by Lahore High Court and subsequent clashes with police at LHC. Sindh Bar Council has given call for complete strike against the Lahore incident. Lawyers did not appear before Sindh High Court and lower courts, They stayed away from court proceeding due to which litigants faced problems. Members of Karachi Bar Association gathered at Shuhada-e-Punjab Hall of the Bar body general body meeting. President KBA Naeem Quraishi and others addressed the general body meeting. They condemned what they said maltreatment with lawyers in Lahore and Multan. Later, lawyers took out a rally and staged a protest sit-in at MA Jinnah Road. Published in Daily Times, August 23rd 2017.
